Born and raised in Maryland, I studied biology and journalism in Virginia. After graduating, I started as a print designer for the local newspaper where I was responsible for the daily front page and sports sections.
After several years, the lure of living in California became too strong—and I packed my bags for San Francisco. I freelanced at various tech companies and nonprofits before finding my home at Bare Escentuals, where I led the Global Packaging Production team through product launches, annual holiday programs and two complete skincare redesigns. I honed my regulatory knowledge and am a master at making primary and secondary packaging globally compliant (including OTC products).
After Bare Escentuals, I did a 180 and switched to interactive design and production at Nest Labs. I partnered with art directors, writers and producers to create website and digital assets for product launch campaigns. I also worked with the UX/UI and localization teams to create translated UI screens for international launches.
I believe a holistic brand approach is best, where the customer is engaged and surprised throughout the experience—from packaging to emails to social media.
What can you expect from me?
I thrive on aggressive deadlines and start every day with a cup of tea.
